A Lovely Day At Camp

So this is a little video that my husband (husband!!) put together for me. What you are seeing is the path outside our cabin during the Midwest Men’s Festival that we attend annually. Many of the days temperatures reach the nineties and even lower 100s. Therefor, wearing as little as possible is the thing to do! Sarongs are the choice of outerwear and we’ve taken to selling them for really cheap prices, just enough to try and break even. We buy them, making sure there is only one of each because after all, no one wants to be wearing the same thing as someone else! This is gay men after all! LOL!

Midwest Men’s Festival is the inspiration for my newest novel, “Summer Lover.” The main character finds a couple of men who do just what we do. Sell sarongs. At first he’s too chicken to get one. He sees it as wearing a dress and that is the LAST thing he’s going to do. But with a little encouragement, he does buy one and finds out how freeing it really is.

Here is a little blurb about my new book!:

Summer Lover

Scott Aberdeen doesn’t believe in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, or God. Or love—at least, he knows no one will ever love him. After all, he has carried a torch for his best friend Sloan for a decade, hoping his feelings will be returned one day. But when Sloan finds springtime love with another man, Scott’s fantasies are crushed and his skepticism confirmed.

Cedar Carrington, raised by rock star parents, leads a free-spirited, nomadic life, never staying in one place for long. Due to a dark past he refuses to share or even think about, he is willing to let men into his bed for sex, but never for the night.

When Scott finds himself camping in the middle of nowhere with over a hundred men who all believe in love—and faeries and a magickal gay brotherhood—he’s pretty sure he’s in the wrong place. And when Cedar connects with cynical, critical Scott, he wonders how he could be falling in for this man of all men. But hearts and lives have been transformed at the Heartland Men’s Festival before, and it might be just the place where two very different men can release their pain and find true love at last.

I love writing Male/Male Romance and telling the tales of gay men finding love–of celebrating the joy of men loving men.

Peace to you all! And remember! Leap and the net will appear!

  1. I’d just like to say how much I enjoyed “Summer Lover”. The little video clip showing the sarongs at the camp is almost exactly as I pictured it in the book.
I love your characters and eagerly await Autumn. (Oops, I suppose I should say Fall).
