YES!! J.P. Barnaby is Dreamspinner Press’s 99¢ Author This Weekend!

There are so many people in the MM Family that I adore, but I must say that J.P. Barnaby very special to me. She is practically the first MM author I met in person and it wa a very auspicious meeting. It was the first Dreamspinner Press Author’s Workshop and it was in New York. A bunch of us were dropped off by the hotel shuttle in an area of town where we go pick up some essentials for our weekend and then we had to walk back. That walk back turned out to be pretty wretched and I wasn’t sure—between the heat and the distance and my pre-op knees—if I was going to make it. I did, but I was drenched in sweat and pretty miserable. And my room mate hadn’t arrived at the hotel yet and it was in his name so there was nothing I could do. So what does JP do? She offers me her shower, which I definite took advantage of. We have joked for years since that I was naked in JP’s room!

But where I had first fell for JP was through her books, and I had been snagged by her classic Little Boy Lost series. To meet her face to face had me all ga-ga. I have read many of her amazing books since then—A Heart for Robbie blew me away—and so I am thrilled to see that she is Dreamspinner Press’s 99¢ author this weekend!

Of course I have all three of these books already, but I can sure blow the horn and wave some flags to let as many people as possible know about this great deal!

Just check these blurbs….

Celebrated Young Adult author Julian Holmes pits the heroic characters in his Black Heart series against all different kinds of monsters. But when a critical heart defect threatens his son’s life, he finds he has no champion. No amount of books, classes, or practice can prepare Julian for the fight to save his beautiful son’s life.

Suddenly there are hospitals, transplant lists, and the nightmare of insurance red tape to navigate. In the midst of his trouble, Julian meets Simon Phelps, the insurance coordinator for Robbie’s case. Simon lives so deep in the closet he might never find his way out, but he dreams of exactly what Julian has. Then one night, drunken need and desperation brings them together, and a new fight begins.

2nd Edition

A Survivor Story

From her perch on a shelf above my bed, the doll accuses me with lifeless eyes of failing Juliette in the most heinous way imaginable, forcing me to crave the bite of his whip and the steel in his voice to drown out the ache in my chest.

For his entire life, Benjamin Martin’s parents drilled into his head that he must watch out for his little sister, but one horrific night, he failed. Now, the bite of a whip, cuffs digging into his wrists, his arms and legs stretched beyond endurance, these things give him what he needs to forget his sister’s violent death, at least for a while.

When Ben’s latest Dom casts him aside like a broken toy, he manipulates his best friend, Jude Archer, into picking up the pieces. Jude has been in love with Ben for years, but his fantasies about his friend never included whipping him. He doesn’t understand why Ben needs BDSM and he worries about Ben’s addiction. Most of all, he fears losing his humanity because he’s already lost himself in Ben. When he’s forced to trade the marks upon his soul for the pain that ravages Ben, Jude learns the real definition of submission.

First Edition published as Painting Fire on the Air by Dreamspinner Press, September 2013.
