ALL RIGHT…. I NEED A HAND AND I AM LOOKING TO SEE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN HELPING….

I was pleasantly surprised that I have almost forty (40) stories published now! That means *in print* and available! And ALL my stories take place in the same “Universe.” I have discovered that I desperately need a “Guide” for my Universe. Believe it or not, it’s grown so complicated that I can’t remember half its details.

For instance, in the book I am working on now one of my characters has need of a lawyer. I knew I had come up with a law firm for another book and wanted to use the same one instead of creating another — but I couldn’t remember where and when I used it! It took Noah awhile, but he found out I’d use the group of Baily, Cranston and Watch not once, but twice, and got me a few details that had I not had them, there would have been a contradiction in what I am writing now with what I had written before!

Every time I stop writing and spend hours trying to find a detail from a previous book…I am NOT writing! For awhile now, Noah has been trying to help me put together a concordance of sorts…a bible…a Wiki, that all the details of my Universe can go into. This Wiki would one day be available for readers as well as me and my editors! So anyone whow was interested would have the ability to look up a character, place or thing, and find out where they’ve appeared and in what order.

The thing is, I am a slow reader. I just don’t have much time. And again, if I am going through a book or story line by line looking for these details, I am NOT writing!

So this is what I need!!! HELP! I am asking people who like my writing, who read at a far better clip than I do, to help me with this project! I would let you claim a book (even if it is only one), I would send you a free e-copy if you don’t already have one, and then I need you to list ALL the persons, places, and things in the book as you read it. You would get any books you want to do free, and if you have them already, I would give you some other book for free. You would get listed on my Wiki as well.

You need to be picky and detail oriented. You would even list characters that don’t have a name, like someone working a register at a store for instance. I would like things listed like a character’s car-make and model and even year if it’s mentioned. If they go to a real place like Walmart, mention Walmart as well, esp if the character has an opinion about that location.

GOSH, I hope someone(s) are interested in helping me! It would mean the world to me. More than I can find words to express.

Now here’s hoping I’ll hear from you!

HUGS and LOVE,

GAY PRIDE MONTH; Day Seven, Special Guest BA Tortuga

Oh happy day! Look who my guest is today! The awesome and immortal BA Tortuga! I danced around the room when she not only said, “yes,” to joining in on my celebration of Gay Pride month, but, “Absolutely. When do you need it by?” 🙂 And when I said, “How soon can you get it to me?” she got it to me in about a day and a half! Made my day!

So without further ado, I present BA Torguta’s very personal and sweet coming out story. I dare you not to be touched by this one.

Take it away, BA!

GAY PRIDE MONTH; Day Four, Pride Music

There are a lot of songs out there that we have come to consider gay anthems. “I Will Survive,” “I Am What I Am,” “I’m Coming Out,” and so many others. Songs that stir us, bring tears to our eyes, and make us want to stand up and pump our fists and proclaim that, “I am what I am, and what I am needs no excuses!” Or in this case, “I step out of the
ordinary, I can feel my soul ascending, I’m on my way, can’t stop me now!”

I thought over this month I would present the videos of some of my very favorites. I will start with Heather Small’s “Proud.” What do you think? And what are some of your favorites.

Happy Pride!

PROUD
Heather Small

I look into the window of my mind
Reflections of the fears I know I’ve left behind
I step out of the ordinary
I can feel my soul ascending
I’m on my way
Can’t stop me now
And you can do the same (yeah)  Continue reading

GAY PRIDE MONTH, Day Three: The Exciting Return of “Tales of the City!”

What a wonderful celebration of Gay Pride month! The triumphant return of “Tales of the City!” So excited! From the preview it doesn’t look like what I was expected, which was a filming of the later books, like, “Michael Tolliver Lives,” “Mary Ann in Autumn,” and “The Days of Anna Madriga,” but I could be wrong. Whatever it is, it comes with Armistead Maupin’s blessing, and the joyous return of Laura Linney as Mary Ann Singleton and Olympia Dukakis as Anna Madrigal. AND as of this posting, we only have to wait four days until the first season begins on Netflix! If there is any series of books and movies and now a series that celebrates gay life, and human life, it’s this one!

Today is National Plumber’s Day

Today is National Plumber’s Day! And what would we do without those men with their plungers and snakes all ready to clean out our pipes? So today I present a naughty tribute to those (sometimes) sexy men. And some of these are pretty naughty and very well might be considered NSFW. No full on nudity…but only a few steps away from.

By the way, today is also National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day, National DNA Day, National East Meets West Day aka Elbe Day (whatever in the world that means), National Hairstylist Appreciation Day, National Crayola Day, National Telephone Day, National Zucchini Bread Day, National Parental Alienation Day (I read the description and I still didn’t understand this one), National Poem in You Pocket Day (??), National Red Hat Society Day, National Mani-Pedi Day, World Malaria Day and World Penguin Day.

I could have done something about one of those instead. But my naughty nature took control and this is what you get!

Hope you enjoy!
