Review summary: A sweet, delightful tale of romance.

Moving to Kansas City could be the best thing Austin Shelbourne has ever done. For a start, he can stop living a lie and finally come out of the closet. And there’s a chance, though slim, that he might be able to locate the love of his life, Todd Burton. It had seemed like a good idea when he seduced his friend, but Todd freaked out and vanished. Austin hopes to find Todd, make things right between them, and win his love. But when he meets actor Guy Campbell, things get even more confusing.

The moment Guy sets eyes on Austin, he knows Austin is The One. But Austin makes it clear he feels a responsibility to Todd, and Guy has some dark secrets of his own. He’s found redemption in acting and directing, but worries that if Austin learns the truth, he might not be able bear it. And what if Todd accepts Austin’s apology and the love Austin offers? Guy wants Austin desperately, but he also wants him to be happy. In the play of life, with the happiness of good men in the balance, anything could happen.

Awesome Review for My New Story “How Could Love Be Wrong?

I am just on top of the world this morning! I got an excellent review on my new story, “How Could Love Be Wrong?” I am doing the damned Snoopy Dance! *throws confetti*

This is a pretty big deal. The review was done at a site called Jessewave and for those not in the know, it is only one of the penultimate review sites for Male/Male romances.

And I got 4.75 stars out of 5. I am just on top of the f*cking world!

If you want to check it out, click here to read, OR, you can find it right here at this post under the cut. But beware!! There are some serious spoilers.

The reviewer’s words: “A beautiful, moving story that transported its serious message with heartfelt honesty.”

I am just thrilled that as the review continues, the reviewer cut right to the chase, saw exactly what I was trying to do, and understood that any short comings were due to the length of the story. Dreamspinner Press only gave a certain word count limit for the stories for this series. Every day this month they are releasing a story in their Daily Dose “First Time For Everything.” Stories had to be about first times.

From true love’s first innocent kiss to finally getting down and dirty on the kitchen floor, there’s a first time for every sort of cherry to be popped. Whether discovering the ravenous thrill of sex or the heartwarming power of romance, these men are going to take the plunge and try something new—something romantic or kinky, daring or safe, passionate or relaxed, even comforting or scary—all in the name of love. The First Time for Everything Daily Dose package delivers 30 M/M stories about all kinds of first times.

And so “How Could Love Be Wrong?” was my answer to the challenge.

And here is the review! Again, be warned! She has a lot of spoilers!

What’s Going On

So a bunch of cool things is going on right now and I will just fill you in quick.

The first thing is that Dreamspinner Press has a BIG sale going on right now! In honor of ebook week, Dreamspinner Press is offering 20% off on all titles. Rush right over there.

In something fun for me, I have PAPERBACK copies of the anthologies Riding Double (with my story The Real Thing) and Never Say Never (with my story Secret Valentine).

There is something incredibly exciting about holding a book in your hands and knowing you are in it. That your story is right there, before you eyes. Thrilling experience! I recommend it highly.

And the anthology This is the Way the World Ends with my vampire story should be out soon – in paperback!

I recently submitted a story called How Can Love Be Wrong? to Dreamspinner for their 2011 Daily Dose “First Time for Everything.” I am proud of this story, more than you can know, and hope to tell you soon that they bought it! I wrote a version of this story years ago and loved it and never sold it and couldn’t figure out why. Dug it out and gave it a good honest read and SAW why! LOL! It needed work. To be fair to me, the biggest problem with the story was the word count contraint set forth by gay magazines. I had to leave so much out and focus on sex. Not what I like to do. That concept is why I stopped writing for a decade.

Well, now the story is over three times as long! I added over ten thousand words and WOW – I think it is much better. A pre-review said it was now a “Cracking good read,” which I think is a good thing. Aussie slang!

I am hard at work on a story about a Dude Ranch and I think it may very well be the best thing I’ve ever written. I will keep you informed as it progresses.

Next is that Desert Crossing is on Dreamspinner’s novella best selling list! *does the Snoopy Dance*

Not only that, but it got an amazing review over at Jessewave, just one of the best M/M review sites there is. Feliz had some great things to say that just had me so happy it was hard to believe. WONDERFUL! The reviewer knew point by point everything I wanted and needed to say in that story and it was incredibly rewarding to know that I must have said it or he wouldn’t have gotten it, right? *G*

Thank you Feliz!

Review of “Just Guys” Four Out of Five Stars!!

What a way to start my Sunday! I check out Jessewave.com and see the review for Just Guys.

OMG! I got four out of five stars!

Jessewave is a remarkable site with terrific reviews. You know what to buy when you read the reviews and what to avoid and what new authors to look for. Jessewave reviews only M/M stories, specifically M/M romances.

I am so excited to not only be reviewed, but to be reviewed so well!

She goes on to say, “I think B.G. has the real stuff and I have another book of his which is next on my list to review.” I am so happy it is hard not to cry!

What could be better than that?
